The Greenville chapter of the Society of Human Resource Managers is being recognized for their involvement with the Greenville Regional Education Center of Personal Pathways to Success. The Workforce Readiness Council was established in the fall of 2008 as a special committee of Greenville Society of Human Resource Managers (GSHRM) with the vision of building a qualified workforce that can compete in a global economy.
The mission/goal is to prepare citizens to enter and compete in the job market by fostering collaborative relationships among community stakeholders. The slogan is “Shaping the Future.”
The award, created in 1991 by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), is given annually to state councils and chapters whose work exemplifies HR leadership and exceeds the standard activities of SHRM affiliates.

- Building A Strong and Sustainable Youth Network. The Youth Council is a strategic partnership between the Greenville Region of Personal Pathways to Success and SC Works Greenville. The SC Pathways\SC Works Greenville Youth Council works to address gaps and needs that exist for youth in Greenville County. Additionally, the Youth Council works to meet the objectives identified in the 2011-2014 Greenville County Workforce Investment Board Youth Strategic Plan, the Youth Council will implement several sub-committees that will provide Greenville County Youth with a system, the resources and the information needed to successfully compete in a global economy.
